Pepsi Caserta targeting Sofoklis Schortsanitis

Lost Eric Williams who landed in Brindisi, Pepsi Caserta has another main candidate to fill the center position in the roster for the coming season: Sofoklis Schortsanitis.   The Greek big man ended his contract with Olympiacos at the end of the season and tried to reach an agreement with Los Angeles Clippers which selected him in the 2003 NBA Draft. Few weeks ago Sofoklis Schortsanitis seemed close to signing with Panathinaikos but the Greens decided to pen a deal with Aleks Maric.   There were also rumors on Valencia and Unicaja Malaga. Caserta is looking for a Bosman center and Schortsanitis would be the perfect addition in a roster with Tim Bowers, Ebi Ere and Jumaine Jones. Sofoklis Schortsanitis has already an experience in Italy with Cantù in the season 2003/04 in which he averaged 6.4ppg and 3.6rpg in 33 games played.
