In the meantime Claudio Sabatini, owner of Virtus Bologna, who is hardly trying to sign him said he found the sponsor for Kobe's operation and that he made a new proposal in the conference call the two parts had last night.
"We offered to Kobe a $2.5M contract for the period from October 6th to November 16th. We submitted to him and his agent a real business plan. I can say that they have accepted our proposal but there are still some details to set as Internet rights, his already scheduled events with his sponsor. If Kobe will sign for us, I am going to ask to Legabasket a special calendar for Virtus Bologna. We could play as much games as possible in the main arenas" said Sabatini.
"There is a possibility to play in Italy for few months during the NBA lockout" said Kobe who was at Radio Deejay adding that he will be in London. "I will play Olympic Games in London 2012 with Team USA. My friend Pau Gasol and his Spain will be the toughest opponents there. Playing Olympics is a great experience because you are playing for your country. There are big differences between winning the gold medal at Olympic Games and winning a ring with Lakers. London? I will surely be there. There is just one Dream Team with Jordan, Magic, Bird. I have watched Dream Team on TV while they were playing in Barcelona in 1992. I was spechless. I was in front of the tv for all the games they played even if the match was during the night"
During the interview in Radio, Bryant also spoke about his 'enemy' Shaquille O'Neal. "I like players who workout. I use to do that 6/7 hours per day. I cannot stand players who practice for 30 minutes. I need to say something to them".
