Claudio Sabatini trying to bring to Virtus Bologna Kobe Bryant

Prosegue anche la trattativa con Ginobili

In an interview released a Il Resto del Carlino, Claudio Sabatini, owner of Virtus Bologna, said that he is working since days to bring to Bologna the best player in the world: Kobe Bryant, even just for one month.

"Since one week we are working to bring to Bologna the best player in the world, at least for one month. Lauro Bon is helping me to conduct the negotiations working since four days even during the night. In the meantime, we are still in talks with Manu Ginobili to bring him back to Bologna during the NBA lockout. Who is the best player in the world? You know who he is and I don't have to tell you the name. During the last years, a lot of people said that Bologna is not anymore Basket City. If the best player of the world will arrive for the month of October and then will arrive Ginobili for two more months, everyone has to admit that Bologna is Basket City. For the best player of the world I am studying a new solution to pay his insurance game-by-game. When we play away, if our opponent is not willing to share the incoming of the game, I won't pay the insurance for the player and I will keep him in Bologna" said Sabatini.

Kobe has $83M left on his contract with Los Angeles Lakers and his insurance would worth $1.6M plus the salary.
