Signings for Ventspils, Aris, Oldenburg, Partizan and Unicaja

Aris BSA of Greece has added experience and talent with the signing of versatile veteran Ira Newble at forward. Newble (201, 34) arrives from Bnei Hasharon of Israel, where he finished last season averaging 14.4 points, 6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals.
Aris bagged another American player for its roster by signing Jeremy Richardson, who arrives from the Orlando Magic, where he averaged 3.1 points and 1.2 boards last season.


KK Partizan Belgrade announced on its website the addition of young power forward Sava Lesic (21, 204). Lesic arrives from KK Superfund Basket Plus, a Serbian second division team focused on developing young talents to the next level. Last season, Lesic averaged 16.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 25 games.


Unicaja made a big addition to its frontcourt on Tuesday with the signing of forward Guillem Rubio, who is currently an alternate on the Spanish national team. Rubio (202, 26) Rubio was one of the most productive players last season on a Ricoh Manresa team that threatened to make the Spanish League playoffs. He finished with averages of 9.5 points and 4.1 rebounds.


EWE Baskets Oldenburg announced on Tuesday the contract extension for center Ruben Boumtje Boumtje (213, 31) and the signing of Acha Njei (190, 24), both for two-year periods. Last season, Boumtje Boumtje averaged 8.9 points and 6.5 rebounds in 46 games with Oldenburg in Germany, including the German League and Cup games.  Njei is a small forward arriving from the Bremen Roosters of the German second division, where he averaged 11.1 points, 1.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.


Latvian champs BK Ventspils announced the addition of young center Lauris Blaus (204, 19) for the next season. Last year, Blaus played in Keizarmezs where he averaged 13.3 points and 6.5 rebounds in 26 Latvian League games.



Entente Orleanaise Loiret announced that guard Cedrick Banks (190, 28) has extended his contract with the French club for one more season. Last season, Banks averaged 15.6 points, 4.1 boards and 2.3 assists with Orleans in the French League, with a 35.6% accuracy from the arc.
