CSKA defeated Unics in the final

CSKA triumphed at the Russian Cup Final Four. The Moscow team held off the defending champions Unics in front of the home fans. Sasha Kaun (211-C-85) and Viktor Khryapa (204-F/G-82) accounted for 14 points each to lead CSKA to the victory.
CSKA dominated in the paint early in the encounter. Viktor Khryapa and Sasha Kaun helped CSKA gain a 25:19 lead at the first intermission. Unics adjusted their defense in the second period and worked their way back into the contest. The Kazan outfit erased the deficit and moreover gained a 32:31 lead. Holden exploded with five points in a row to retain the advantage. CSKA maintained the lead and enjoyed a 41:35 lead at halftime. CSKA boosted the gap to 12 points early in the third period. But Unics stayed concentrated and cut the margin back to 6 points with one quarter to go. Unics trimmed the distance to just one point before Holden fired from beyond the arc establishing a 71:67 lead. CSKA controlled the situation from now and celebrated a well-deserved win at the end.
Ramunas Siskauskas (197-G-78) produced 13 points for CSKA. Terrell Lyday (190-G-79, college: BYU) responded with 21 points for Unics. Maciej Lampe (210-C-85) had 18 points and 7 rebounds in defeat.
Spartak Saint Petersburg earned the third spot as they outscored Khimky 76:74 in the consolation final. James White (198-G-84, agency: Court Side, college: Cincinnati) celebrated victory at the Gatorade Slam Dunk Contest.
