L'ala francese firma in Croazia

Adriatic League

French forward Mickael Gelabale signed an agreement with Croatian Euroleague participant Cedevita Zagreb. The French National team starter will try to achieve Cedevita's goal in their Euroleague season to qualify to the second round stage and also secure one of the top spots in Adriatic League. Matej Mamić, Cedevita's General Manager, did fullfill the wish of legendary coach Božidar Maljković, who did insist on Gelabale's signing due to the fact that the two did succesfully cooperate togehter for two years with Real Madrid in the past. In the Euroleague, the Croatian squad is in a group with Olympiacos (Greece), Caja Laboral (Spain), Anadolu Efes Istanbul (Turkey), Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania) and EA7 Emporio Armani Milano (Italy). A new system is taking place in both Euroleague and Adriatic league this season. In the Euroleague system, the top 4 teams of each group will qualify for the second stage in which each team has a guaranteed 14 games ( it was 6 garanteed games previously ) and in the Adriatic League for the first timeever , the top two teams of each regular season will gain an automatic spot in the Euroleague group phase.
