Adam Chubb - Alba BerlinAlba Berlin must start the Last 16 with a major loss in its frontcourt after center Adam Chubb underwent surgery last week for a hemorrhage in his thigh following an injury in a German League game. Chubb (207, 29) had been Alba's third-best scorer with 10.2 points per game in the regular season. Indeed, he was one of the Eurocup's most productive bench players in the opening round as Berlin won its group and advanced early to the Last 16. Chubb took a hit on his left thigh in a game last Wednesday, but when the area began to swell, doctors determined that bleeding was the cause. Chubb underwent emergency surgery to repair the hemorrhage and will now miss at least several weeks of play, the club said in a statement. Berlin opens the Last 16 on the road against Le Mans in new Group I on Tuesday.
