The 6’9 PF/C Rick Hughes will spent the rest of the 2009/10 season in Cyprus with Madisons Apoel Nicosia. Currently the team is in top of the Cyprus A division standings with a 11-2 record.  Apoel Nicosia is also in  the top 16 of the EuroChallenge Cup. The Club is 2nd in group K standings (Scavolini , Chalon and Buducnost) and has a strong chance to finish in the final eight of the EuroChallenge.   Rick started the season in the Spanish LEB Gold Leon Breogan. In 13 games he registered 26 mpg, 16.3 ppg 6.2 rpg  58.9 2fgp 79.1ft and  1.2 apg.  Last season he played in Hyeres-Toulon Var Basket and also participated in the EuroChallenge Cup.
