Lucentum Alicante, which had the ok from ACB for the enrollment in the next Spanish league, made the first important signing for the coming season. The club, newcomer in ACB, signed Latvian point guard Kristaps Valters from Fuenlabrada. Valters, son of the legend Valdis Valters (former player of Soviet Union) averaged 11.1ppg and 4.8apg in ACB this season. Fuenlabrada proposed new deal to the player but the Latvian rejected the offer (Fuenlabrada already reached an agreement with Chris Thomas and the transfer will be official in the next days).

The club from Alicante also is targeting Argentinean forward Walter Hermann. The player spent the season in NBA with Detroit Pistons averaging 3.8ppg and 2.1rpg in 59 games.
